I am so grateful that I had the privilege of living next door to Mr. & Mrs. Barragan for eight years. I have wonderful memories of Mrs. Barragan and I sitting on her porch talking and she sharing so many wonderful stories of her life. My job as a manager at Highland Country Club had long, late hours and Mr. Barragan told me once that Miss Ruth wouldn't go to bed until my car was in the driveway and she knew I was home safe and sound. How lucky I was to have such a wonderful guardian angel watching out for me! I'm sending strength to the family through my prayers. Please know that my happiest memories of Fayetteville will always include Mrs. Barragan.
